COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN!!
Okay, first of all to my commissioners... I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY!! I didn't mean to take more time out of my work schedule to do another piece. But after finishing Moonlight Legend, I was so inspired to do another traditional Sailor Moon piece.... it just wouldn't get out of my head. To everyone else, sorry for the repetition with two in a row... but like I said, I was super inspired and I just kind of grabbed the inspiration and ran.
THAT BEING SAID here we have Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon in markers! I actually had to stop myself from markering my other Sailor Moon piece because I wanted to play with all the colours. And well.... so I did another one with both Moon ladies and used even MOAR colours!!
This piece got off to SO MANY false starts. You know when you have everything flowing and everything you do on a piece just falls into place by itself? Yeah, this was the OPPOSITE of that. Man oh, man. First the poses weren't working out. I got that fixed thanks to my beautiful lady who kindly came up with some gestures for me. Then after inking the WHOLE THING I messed up on some of the colours and made them WAAAAAY too muddy so I had to start OVER and re-trace and re-ink the whole thing before I could ACTUALLY start colouring like I wanted to!
I think the finished effect is.... pretty good. I think since I've been staring at it for oh.... a week? I'm just kind of sick of staring at it and don't know WHAT to think of it, you know? Haha... but I think it looks pretty spiffy! Maybe it's just what a struggle that it was that's getting to me. Also, this piece is HUGE! Usually for marker pieces I work at 9"x12", but for this one since I knew I wanted to get a lot of detail in, I decided to work one step bigger! It was definitely fun if a bit frustrating at times!
The title is a name of an attack that Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon do together in the.... manga I think? Manga or musicals. Can't remember exactly. ANYWAY! It's done and I'm pleased with it! Hope you enjoy it as well!
